I haven't drank fresh raw milk in probably 35 years. I don't drink a lot of milk now but I would try it out.

I was easily 15 before we had anything except still warm, straight from the cow whole milk at home.
It was ok but the flavor changes took like 5-6 weeks to get used to. In the spring, clover would add a certain bitterness to the milk. In the winter, hay would change the flavor profile again.
So it was constant adjustment thing.
I still shake any milk before drinking to mix the cream in.

I grew up drinking raw milk. Mom used to skim the cream to make butter. Pushing 70 and still going strong.

Yes, it makes me gassy because it’s so rich. Once you have the real thing you can’t go back.

I have milked a cow as a kid and it'd by far the best milk I've ever drank. My grandmother would milk the cow and let the milk sit and scrap the cream off of the top of the milk the next morning. Best milk ever

Safer huh? We can tell who's never lived on a farm. You don't even have to refrigerate eggs for days if they're fresh. Get it fresh and local and you don't have to have all the chemicals and preservatives to make it last on the store shelves longer.

Not sure where you watched a dirty teat being milked, but it's just like going to a restaurant. Some people are clean and some are dirty. Go to farms where you know they are following safe practices. Teats should be washed and disinfected before milking.

My wifes side of the family owned a dairy years ago. They talk of drinking fresh raw milk and the taste. I had fresh milk once, but not sure if it was boiled first or not before i was given it. It tasted much richer than store bought. Also, i do prefer fresh eggs iver store bought.
I wish dairy's would make a come back.

We had a 5 year old boy patient that died from drinking raw milk. The cow can be a carrier of a certain bacteria that doesn't affect them. It's not compatible with us. There is a reason pasteurization was invented.

Try doing more research on the subject, rather than blindly believing what the media, big dairy, and gov't tells you.

Thus the decision to mandate pasteurization had nothing to do with science, and everything to do with fiscal expediency.

Right. After traveling to Europe for the past few years (especially Switzerland) they make all of their great cheeses and creams from raw milk.
So my wife came back and started going down a rabbit hole. We went to the Mozzarella Co in Deep Ellum, took a class and now we enjoy making cheeses with raw milk and the taste is like the European cheeses, not like our store bought crap.
I never knew what rennet even was a few months ago.
