How many people are switching cell service from AT&T

This is the second natural disaster that their cell phone service is non-existent or unusable on the rare occasions there is reception. Verizon seems to be working fine for everyone.

I was pleasantly surprised I was able to make and receive calls/texts. Verizon FTW

I hope Verizon launches a major ad campaign about this and fricking sinks the absolute shite company that is AT&T

Yeah that sucked balls not having them when the internet went down. We had generator power so we were limited to watching digital antenna channels which was either the news or judge shows or shows from 60 years ago. I'll never take HBO Max for granted again.

I switched from Sprint to ATT after Laura because Sprint was god awful after the storm in the LC area. I never lost ATT internet and ATT cell service was very reliable. Sounds like the opposite for this storm.

Please continue with ATT, it will get better.

I can’t speak for DSL, but I never lost internet with ATT Fiber. Did lose my ATT cell service like everyone else, though.

I have AT&T and it would take a lot to change. I am normally very pleased with their service over the last 15 years. I fought an employer tooth and nail not to go to T-mobile.

I’ve been with ATT since 2002. If I ever fall on hard times, my loyalty will be considered I’m sure. There’s something to be said about commitment.

I have Verizon for work and AT&T for personal. Verizon was completely down for Laura for weeks. AT&T never went down. I think it’s a crapshoot one which one goes down with storms like these.

Even T-Mobile stayed up the entire time. ATT is going to have a bad black eye from this.

Apparently everyone because my Verizon worked great through the storm and all day yesterday. Wake up today and it's slow as balls. All the bandwidth is being used.

Not true for me.
I've been with them since it was BellSouth Mobility in BTR. Looking over my bill last month and noticed some bullshite charge, so I gave em a call.
The CSR finally admitted it was their mistake, but he wasn't sure how to get the charge removed. I laughed and said, "Fine, I'm switching to XYZ Wireless Co."
Ole boy didn't blink and transferred me over to Retention Dept or whatever it's called. I explained to them the situation and reminded them that I've been with them for 25ish year, etc. He didn't offer a discounted package, $10 off this month--nothing. Was ready to disconnect me on the spot.
The days of AT&T rewarding customer loyalty are behind us.

There’s something to be sad about: commitment to a National company and thinking loyalty will pay anything resembling a dividend.

Verizon's wifi calling feature is huge whenever the cell service is stretched thin. I haven't regretted my switch from AT&T to Verizon one bit.

I would switch, but they are the only ones that cover some of the areas I spend a lot of time in. I used to have Verizon and their service was much better.

I have AT&T and my phone has wifi calling that has fortunately worked like a charm for calls and text.

I switched over to Google Fi, and it's been great for the most part. Tough to beat for the price.

Verizon was completely out for Katrina. I was on Verizon at the time and had to switch to ATT in order to get service while in Houston. It’s just a matter of bad luck each time as to which towers get hit. I don’t think this is a result of ATT being a shitty company, plus it’s backup for many as of this morning
