I eat fatty foods by my own choice, not because someone else told me or persuaded me to.

Don't drink; don't use tobacco.

This should be up to the individual to decide, not society.

Speaking of tobacco has anyone here ever used chantix to quit?

I've been chewing and smoking since I was 16 and am sick of spending money on this stuff. I'm just an insufferable prick when I try going cold turkey

I don’t care what you smoke in private. Just don’t smoke in public or drive high.

Part of the problem with this is you're asking people that have already made a poor decision, to show responsibility

Your entire stance is based on opinion

Smoking weed is as much of a poor decision as hopping on an airplane or.driving on the interstate. Statistically speaking, those actions are far more dangerous.

You won't stop being a sheep and a prisoner to your own misconceptions, though.

There are very few people that make this argument. The argument made is it is less harmful than tobacco, alcohol, and a number of prescribed pharmaceuticals.

I have seen a lot of folks who did but it i has slacked off a bit.

The fact is that most research related to Marijuana has been geared toward its efficacy as a medical drug or the efficacy of specific components. Many, probably most have been simple studies and/or surveys with very few being double blind or even peer reviewed studies, may performed with either a pro or anti outcome intended.

Anecdotally, for me, when I partook of the product available back in the late 70s. My experience, while pleasurable, led me to believe that if I were to have any goals or ambitions beyond getting back to that place ole Mary Jane took me, I had to give it up. I know people for whom that appeared not to be true but I can just speak for myself. I make no blanket statement on this.

Alcohol was never an issue for me, though I like a drink or two, I’ve never had an issue stopping even mid drink. I hate pharmaceuticals that make me feel disconnected or loopy to the point of refusing them post op unless there was severe pain.

Against it.

The majority of people who smoke weed all the time do it for the same reason people abuse opioids, cocaine, heroin, etc.

Why does government need to be involved?

Anyone who opposes it on this site is a troll. I haven't read it yet and I'm posting this just because I already know it.

I am against illegal drug use but 100% support legalization.

We have laws in our country and whether we agree with it or not, we should do our best to follow those laws until we can get those laws changed.

Your parents probably don’t support it because of the media coverage of cartels and their gruesome tactics to secure their supply chain. That is one of the main reasons I am against illegal drug use.

However, the war on drugs is a dumb law and I am hopeful that those laws will be changed soon on the federal level. This will deliver a blow to the cartels and the product will be safer for consumers.

I support the decriminalization of all drugs. The war on drugs has been a collosal failure.
