How many of you oppose the legalization of cannabis?

And why? My parents are disgusted by it and I really have no idea as to why they feel this way. The only reason they give me is “it’s a drug.”

Not for or against. I will say every person on periscope that has the bong thing going on coughs up a lung every time they are hitting it.

The new job I'm about to take in Portland is growing to sell to distributors. Will be searching for houses soon. Soil based organic grow, MH/HPS lighting which I am a fan of.

The answer here is pretty obvious dude. You said yourself they’ve never tried it, so they don’t have a first hand experience to go off of. They’re making their determination by attaching Cannabis to the trashy crowd that use it. Not saying that’s right or wrong or all that use it fit that criteria ,but it’s pretty clear that it’s their take.

They usually look something like this.
College grad or student living in their parents basement begging for money and complaining about their weed dispensary job. They will talk incessantly about how alcohol is worse than weed and all the illnesses smoking pot can cure while hacking up a lung.

I'm for legalization, but not because I partake (I don't). I just don't think it's any of my damned business if a grown man wants to smoke a fairly harmless drug. Like alcohol, it should be age-restricted and you shouldn't drive high.
Despite my support, people who build a life around smoking weed are annoying. I have a cousin, and smoking weed, introducing others to weed, and extolling the medicinal value of weed is pretty much his entire identity.

Legal now here in Washington for 7 years and it personally seems ridiculous it was ever illegal.

One of the main themes when I was growing up and smokin the reefer in high school was “getting busted.” If you got caught and lost your allowance, had privileges taken from you, or had all your shite confiscated, then you went from just getting busted to getting frickin busted.
You couldn’t get busted. Your future, your life, your dignity was at stake. The creativity and imagination it took to jump through hoops to keep from getting busted will be lost once it’s totally legal.
Basically, I’m wondering what teenagers will be paranoid about if they don’t have to be paranoid about GETTING BUSTED!

Drinking alcohol is just as trashy and worse for you. I don’t smoke pot either, I just have common sense.
