Bumping this to next page in case someone doesn’t see it in Southeast Tangi/Southwest St. Tammany:

Flooding may become an issue in the next day or two as Ida goes north and dumps more rain. Bedico Creek was at 6ft during the flash flooding last year. It is at 8.42ft right now
NOAA Bedico Creek

Keep an eye on the Tangipahoa as well. If the prediction goes above 24ft there will be parts of 190 and 22 under water

I’ve got a buddy who evacuated and lives in Old Covington near St Paul’s School. Anybody laid eyes on this area today?

Today is not "Take a walk or ride day." Today is card games, board games, read a book and cook day. Large trees and power lines are down on most every street … many on homes. PD is currently going house to house to check on anyone in a home with a tree on it / in it. Fire is working with Public Works to clear main thoroughfares. This is slow, tedious and dangerous work. Due to downed power lines, Public Works is currently battling its way to S. Tyler Street (LA Hwy 21). State highways will be the priority, particularly towards the hospital. There is no way to give a reasonable time line for when streets will be cleared or electricity restored. EVACUEES: You should stay where you are at least until tomorrow. There are zero reports of looting, but numerous reports of neighbors helping neighbors. BOIL WATER ADVISORY: For drinking and cooking, please boil. This is a precaution only. There are no reports of any contamination. INJURIES / FATALITY: A couple of minor ones that were able to stay home during storm … hope to clear safe path to hospital today. No reports of storm related deaths. Push / Debris Removal Contract has been activated. This means outside contractors will be working to remove trees from streets. Communication: AT&T is out, Verizon still functioning. MMJ

Yes, family is reporting a lot of trees down with water mains busted. Will take a while before power and water is back.

Any updates on the Bedico Creek area? My wife’s family decided to ride it out down there, and she hadn’t heard from them lately in light of the AT&T outage.

If you flooded for the rain storm last year you are flooded now. Waters are higher than that. Impassable getting to front of neighborhood Multiple houses with chimneys blown off

That’s not necessarily true. We were about an inch away from flooding last year in Bedico Creek and the water is not even halfway up our yard yet today. I am concerned about it continuing to rise though.

I guess it depends where you are. My BIL and friend have water in house/garage and didn’t last year

One of the sheriffs that’s their neighbor borrowed the BIL 4 wheeler to get to

Yea I heard the entrance is flooded. Our neighborhood is weird. Some areas are really high and some low.

I'm in Mobile. Had a buddy in the neighborhood sharing pics of damage.

Bigner going to be passable anytime soon?

Spoke with some other neighbors that said our house looked fine on Evergreen, but the house 2 doors down had a tree on it. We're on Evergreen right at the end of Cottonwood.

Guste Island Update -

Water made it from the lake all the way to the pool house. Fences down everywhere and roof damage. All in all looks like the neighborhoods make out ok.

Take this for what its worth: friend drove from Fountainebleau neighborhood off causeway approach to Rosedown off sharp road around 10am without a problem. So roads are somewhat accessible.

My friend rode down Hwy 59 and Lonesome and they were both pretty passable. My house doesn't have any significant damage to it. Yard's a disaster and fence got blown down, but that seems to be the extent of it. Thanking God today.

59 @ 1088 is not passable.

Huge tree is blocking it along with downed power lines.

Would appreciate a report on Lee Road, specifically the Magnolia estates subdivision, ie Glen Loop/Falaya St. TIA.

So there's a pine tree through my roof. Claim filed but no response from Insurance company yet. Who does one call to remove a tree from your roof? Roofer? Tree service?

A little good news, they've adjusted the forecast crest downward on the Bogue Falaya
