I’m posting from my cell phone in Covington. At I12 and Hwy 21. Power is out. The wind is blowing hard and raining. That’s all I know for right now.

Yeah decided to leave even though we pulled trees after katrina. Didnt want to be stuck without power. Was out for a month back then.

My girlfriend and I mad the decision last night to head out and went to north Texas. Just got here an hour or so ago. It got too close for comfort for us and looks like Ida now has Tangi in it's path.

My nephew came up to Ruston from Slidell with his wife, daughter, son, a dog, and two cats. He's in the Navy. They ordered him to evacuate. He offered to buy dinner tonight because they're paying him per diem.

In Covington by Home Depot. Shits picked up and only lost power 2 hours ago. Can hear siding rip. I imagine 2 or 3 more hours of rain And I’ll hear tree snaps.
