Why take the extra time and gas to do something so worthless?

Some people enjoy cutting grass/doing yard work and they take pride in how the finished product looks.

I alternate my cuts from diagonal to horizontal.

Gotta keep the grass guessing

That one house in Gonzales near Pelican Pointe mowed a "TRUMP" pattern into their field.

Rotate between horizontal, vertical, and diagonal.

I don't do patterns in my lawn, but I do stencil well with my pressure washer on my driveway!

I only have about 3/4 of an acre of turf so I have some fun with it. I usually do double wide stripes and I mow it twice at 45 degree angles to each pass so it's a diamond pattern.

I do this every 4 days.

I used to really spend a lot of time especially in the front yard edging weed whacking, ( still fertilizer once or twice a year) and yea I used to try to make it look like a baseball outfield sometimes, even let it grow really long just to mow LSU into it once … but now a days I just push cut the front, rider mower the back really slow on the weekends with some beers when I need time outside away from the wife and kids… you know it still looks just as good right now as it did before I had 3 kids but I don’t put all that time in like I used to, I also made the front beds easier just hostas and some other non maintenance small plants.

I start straight then curve each line to one point at the far end of the lawn. Looks more interesting than straight lines back and forth.

I actually looked into purchasing a lawn stripper for my Toro zero turn.

Only company I found that makes them wanted $375 for the kit, which was essentially a fabricated metal rod with small rollers that mounted directly behind the mower.

Too pricey for my pay. But looked cool if you want to make your lawn look like Wrigley Field.

It doesn't have to take extra gas if you own a push mower.

I used to do crop circles, but now I mow alternate paths. Parallel to the street, perpendicular to the street and diagonal both ways.

Looks nice and doesn't rut up my yard.

Also, I bag the clippings each week and don't blow them into the street and storm drains like some morons.

I had a cherry tree smack dab in the middle of the lawn at my old house. I started at the tree and did a circular pattern in the front yard.

Love doing a crop circle in the yard. I read somewhere that the grass does best cutting in different directions frequently.

I'm a diagonal kind of guy. If you mow the same pattern constantly, you'll rut up and it'll bite you later on
