I wanted 2... wife wanted 3... we ended up with 4

Want 3. Have 2 so far. If you’d asked a month after the first one we’d have both said that’s it only one. But as she got older can’t imagine not having a few kids.

Wanted kids, never set number. But took 8 years to have first one, second came the next year. Doc said probably couldn’t have any more. Surprise, surprise ... 9 years later my youngest of three daughters came to us. I was 40. Wasn’t easy but love those three gals so much.
PS: Pretty sure my oldest daughter was conceived during halftime of a Saints-Cowboys game. And she is a mega-Saints fan now.

Never wanted to marry or have kids. I married and had four.
I was right about marriage and children.

Planned for two have two. One girl one boy, couldn’t be happier. Both are adults now and I am proud of what they have become.

Wanted 3.
We just had our first. I think we’ll stop at 2.

It’s amazing how quickly the exhausting newborn phase is forgotten. Mine is only 2 months old, and already I can barely recall the way it felt.

Take advantage of the built-in babysitter while you can. It'll get more difficult when she's in HS and has a social life.
For sure! To say she wasn’t excited about getting a sibling is an understatement. But now she’s obsessed with him & practically holds him more than I do. I was worried. It makes me so happy.

I have a 17 year old and 13 year old and then the baby. They both are obsessed with him. It’s clutch with them being able to just watch him if I need to run to the store. Take advantage of that.

My advice to you, as someone who has been in a similar situation, just 13-14 years ago, is to make sure that y'all pay the older one as much attention as possible. She'll feel neglected because she's used to being the only kid and it's difficult for the baby not to dominate your attention.
Get her dad to go to something with her, just the two of them. I'd encourage y'all to do the same. I think we could have done a better job of that. Just my 2 cents.
