"AS long as you can afford them" is a large part of any chosen number.A bit extreme but a good friend has quints plus one = 6. Went grocery shopping one time with her and it was amazing the dollars involved. Even cutting that bill in half, for a family of 5, that cost should be a rational factor. Two girls? Have you priced a wedding lately? Private school costs?

I have 4 boys and 1 girl. Thank God its not the other way around. Girls are expensive

I have 4 (1 boy and 3 girls) but have lots of friends that have more. I say have as many as you can handle. Good responsible people should multiply, it’s good for society.

Same number of kids that you have hands. So if married and probably won’t die unless an act of god happens then max is 4.
