Just had a shipment delivered a few minutes ago at 9:15 PM.
Do they have 2 shifts of drivers?

Speaking as a former driver I can tell you that January through October the average driver works about 48 hours per week. November and December they are pushing 55 to 60.

Depends on the driver. Some like to drag arse all day to make the OT. Personally, I do about 38-42 hours a week.
From Thanksgiving to Christmas....It's 55-65 hours a week

Depends on the center/hub
and the 9.5 for the driver
and the 9.5 for the driver

The driver makes the route fit the day. Coming from a route manager the driver decides how many hours he will work and then will decide how fast he will finish.

I was a Teamster with UPS for 7.5 years and during my time at the NOLA hub on Downman Road, the brown package car drivers worked well over 40 hours a week. Not only that but they didn't take a break for lunch nor did they take "10 minute" breaks during the day. They hustled their asses off.
That was a few years ago and maybe things are more easy now.

Companies don't work that way. I'd be very surprised if it is any easier these days than it was back whenver you were referring to. Especially wiht increased home deliveries due to online ordering, I'm most certain companies like UPS didn't increase their personnel accordingly to their increased volumes. Just made the workers do more.

Didn’t know the OT had this many commercial drivers license holders.

That seems more likely than the notion that some of today's UPS package car drivers are working UNDER or AT 40 hours a week.

55 to 60 hours a week?
That is nothing.
I hear that most teachers work 55-60 hours each day! And probably more on the weekends.

Don't know when our driver starts, but he shows up between 6 pm and 7 pm.

...what exactly are you managing if the driver sets route and endurance of shift?
