Guess what, The Woodlands has far more high net worth people in it than the entire NOLA metro area......think about that.
Also, you might want to research the average annual household incomes in the Woodlands (sans high net worth folks) before comparing NOLA "proper" to it.
AND, no one better compare Cinco to The Woodlands. Its not even close.

Define better?
Schools, housing, job market, crime, govt, infrastructure, quality of life?
Yeh, sure Houston has those little things better.
But they cant touch us for sports, food, and drinking

Right
But I feel like half of the New Orleans posters are considering their uncle’s house in Humble as Houston.

Everything about Houston is "better" than NO, but for some reason I'd much rather live in NO.

well, you trash Houston without a true/valid basis.
My kids are privy to a fantastic and free education, Scouting with various points of interest to camp at within driving distance, absolutely fantastic infrastructure, desirable local demographic with extremely low crime.
Now, we do live in The Woodlands but I could go on to cite the world class museums and such in Houston, but I guess that's all "low lying".
And, we shouldn't forget to mention the rock-solid Texas economy.
You have ZERO clue.

If the money is there, or not an issue, I'm living in New Orleans.

its because deep down they hate where they live
its why I'm kinda afraid to move to Houston or Dallas because I know that I would have to live in the burbs and I know that I would absolutely hate it

some of The Woodlands is nice, but I doubt I would be able to afford that part of The Woodlands
other parts are just as generic suburb as Cinco Ranch

houston is WAYYYY better in every way than New Orleans.
you couldn't MAKE me live in NOLA, hell I barely like visiting.
houston... I'd move in a hurry if I had any reason to.
eta: I lived there 3 years.
"houston" is basically a 100 mile circle. you can get away from all the things ppl are complaining about here and still have access to the good stuff.
new Orleans... try to get away, good luck

This is the true in real life as well. Not just on this site.

honestly, I can see a quick glance showing that.
But, the biggest difference compared to Cinco, Sugar Land, etc. is that the Woodlands in not a pass through community. Its boundaries are well defined and it creates what we call the bubble. It allows local law enforcement to easily filtrate the undesirables too. Also, the Township structure has an aggressive/protective board overseeing everything (though they can be a PIA sometimes).
