Overstated.
Net Worth does not mean the money is liquid
Canes does around 3-5Bill on sales. Having a net worth of 20+ Bil is based on a valuation. He has to sell out portions of his interest to actually utilize any of those funds. Probably still takes in a 100-200 mill bonus every year tho that he can frick around with

The company has been around for over a hundred years. They also have extensive real estate and stock portfolios. Easily a net worth of a billion.

Eh thats not really enough to create a Billionaire. Generational wealth...sure but not in the Billions. Food manufacturers gross 10-15% and net less than 3% now being in business for over 120 years and being private definitely helps their case as long as funds have been managed conservatively
lol
Glass is correct. The Reily family is in this category

LSU is quick numerous when it comes to millionaires
I would hope most college graduates are millionaires by the time they retire regardless of industry!
I know it's not close to being the case but it should be!
$300 a month over a 40 year career gets you there!

The Reillys are big donors to Tulane.

Also, don’t count out Rouses. They keep getting bigger. While Donny maybe the front man, their ownership is spread out through the family

I did! It was five times my salary when I bought it, and I was excited because it was at a historically low interest rate of 6.5%! I didn't have kids when we bought it, but some how a couple of years later I was able to put three kids through daycare and catholic schools.
Since then the house has almost doubled in value and since I've paid extra principle on every payment it will be paid off in a couple of years!

There are a lot of folks who are smart enough to not want to be on the Forbes 400 even thouigh they would qualify..
Someone like Todd Graves cannot help it because he and his company are so visible but many of the ones that can hide it do so for privacy and such.
I know one guy who hid his status for years. He owned most of a private energy company. His mistake was a large donation to his alma mater. That got the Forbes folks to look at his real net worth. There is actually a staff that works on it. I know another that once was majority shareholder in a company most have heard of but sold it before he was noted as a billionaire and started a private venture capital firm.

Did you know that Alaska, Delaware, and West Virginia are the only states without at least one billionaire?

The Saurage Family owns Community Coffee in Baton Rouge, also Mr. Jim Bernhard in Baton Rouge,
And the family that owned Century Tel in Monroe used to live in Famerville, and I would think the family that owns Tobasco would have a net worth over Billion.
A lot of people just don't comprehend how much a billion actually is!

Is she not still in the Audubon Place house? Her ship came in late in life when she snatched up Benson. Can’t imagine her getting too far off her beaten path at this stage.
