Depends on the beer, obviously. And its pretty damn obvious that when your say "beer", you mean that watered down BMC stuff. You'd have to be a a large specimen to need 9-10 imperial stouts or IIPA's to get drunk, unless you're drinking out of a shot glass.

So, to answer your question, in terms of my two favorite styles (IPA and stout), I would guess 3 definitely puts me in the legally drunk range, drinking at a casual pace.

There are way too many factors that aren't specified here. Is it a Miller 64, or a dogfish head 120 minute IPA??

Am I drinking beers fast at a tailgate in the sun, or sipping slow around a campfire??

Am I doing this after consuming a massive steak and potato supper, or on an empty stomach??

But to try and answer the OP, to get a good buzz on a lite beer takes me at least 7-8. On a good beer can be 3-4, again I'm talking a buzz, not drunk. A buzz is fun to have a makes for an awesome night. Getting completely drunk is stupid, and makes for a bad morning.

3 IPAs would do it. Probably about 9 watered down American lagers if we are talking about bud/miller/coors. Most IPAs are 8 to 9%, vs 2.5 for bud.

feel a little head rush after 3 these days. At that point, nobody would notice. Probably six when someone might wonder if I've been drinking. I drink beers that are around 7-10% abv, though.

At 6 10% beers, you will be drunk, and everyone could notice. Be realistic

If I didn't drink all week then a 12 rack will really get me going. If I drank all week I'll need a lot more than that or just switch it up to liquor lol.

It depends.. If I'm working outside and sweating, 2 gets a good buzz going. But as far as "drunk" (slurring words, loss of coordination), it takes a lot of beer (light beers), which is probably why I stick to beer and refrain from much liquor. Beer seems to have that self-limiting effect where a full stomach keeps you from overdoing it. Now I will say, it's all dependant on the alcohol content. 4-5 monkeynauts will put me down quickly.

Usually just one Samuel L. Jackson does the trick.

Yea I'm cool with not downing a fricking gallon of beer before even feeling a buzz. You think having to spend 40-50 bucks at the bar to get buzzed is a good thing? Are you 16?

It's not that difficult. We don't spend 3 hours of our tailgate fricking sober like y'all are bragging about.

I start making bad decisions after 2. I'm not drunk yet, but my GAF is gone.

Around 5 I realize im not sober.

Thing is, from sober to drunk isn't that much. But from drunk to blackout, I can throw them down.
