Did Tigerdroppings exist back in 1977? If not, I'm not agreeing to this at all!!

Not long at all. We are resilient people and some of us grew up in the 70's and 80's.

I was 17 in 78, so I'd be just fine.

I honestly think the hardest part would be for people to learn how to talk directly to one another again. Sad, but think of how many random conversations struck up 20 years ago compared to today when everyone is glued to their phone

It would take me about five seconds to revert back to the "old ways". That's about how long it would take me to walk over to the garbage can and throw my flip phone in it. That's about the extent of my "gadgets".

It is not like we lived in caves in 1978. There was air conditioning and the stores had cheap groceries. Everybody was not fat. The bush was absolutely wonderful.

I also like what comes after 1978 when the girls all went with the big hair. And for those that missed it, you could have seen Ensminger/Woodley battling it out.

I didn't have a smart phone or text messaging until i was 23 (I'm 29 now). Before that I would read for about 4 or 5 hours a day. Now I maybe read 30 minutes and then I'm fricking around on my phone. I think that the smart phone has sapped my creativity since I am never bored with just my thoughts unless I'm deer hunting.

Yep. Back then a little hair sticking out from that two-piece bikini was a turn-on. Now, we're in to camel toes.

It's pretty damn refreshing to disconnect and let the slime and sleaze disappear for a few days.

I could adjust simply because I lived without it for years. Might take a couple of weeks but it would eventually be fairly easy.

There were some great benefits to not always being "in touch"

So when you trawl reddit for thread topics here it’s an arduous task? Not the poster we deserve but the one we need right now?

His name was LucasP, you duplicitous bastard.

It would take a long time, no doubt.

I use my phone as a watch so that would be annoying
Plus being able to quickly look something up on my phone

Easy. Not having microwaves would suck though.

In 1978 hmmmm...

I'd have to do the following:
Listen to LP's and reels. No music server containing my cd collection.
Have to watch beta or vhs or maybe laserdisc since DVD and BRD aren't around to say nothing of netflix or DBS.
Payphones would hopefully be around since there would be no viable wireless phone service.
Reading maps wouldn't be that bad.
Reading actual magazines instead of having them on my ipad would be nice. I can cram thousands of PDF magazines on my ipad but having those in physical copies would be nice.

I would adjust just fine. I would have to get used to people smoking everywhere. Would make a killing on the stock market.
