Depending where you graduate, some places already have you go through security before entering.

Mine had metal detectors, but it was also a month after Columbine. I was in class when Heath High School happened 45 minutes away.

I have been working high school graduations for over 20 years.

As a metal detectorist, I believe everyone should be metal detected anytime they enter a public building. And each individual pay the metal detectorist cash upon entry.
