Becoming a Christian has changed my life in so many ways.
Confidence, esteem, respect, giving, desire, and a little something called salvation!

When I got to college, then when I graduated, then when I started my first job, and then when they promoted me to NY

HC, this was over 20 years ago, but after my dad passed away that had a huge impact on who I was going forward.
I can't even begin to understand what you have gone through from when you were 28 until now.
But know that you have your own family and moving away to plant roots in a new place has to provide something positive (I read something a while back that mentioned how much changing your environment can have a huge positive impact on people who are dealing with multiple situations)..

Is this a physical or meta physical question our bodies are changing constantly, I’m sure someone can google rate of cellular change in the human body.
Our knowledge should also be increasing, but alas here we are wasting away on the OT...

Legit topic. I feel like I’m on about the 10th iteration of myself.

I've been this person for a little over four years. The death of a loved one started this path.
I'm 50. Since high school, I would say I have had 6-7 different events that brought major changes in my view(s) of everything. So in that respect I've been at least 7 "different" people during my lifespan.

I like the question. it is a great exercise in intra-personal intelligence.
Life and who we "are" is very much experiential. What is and is not important changes considerably. As someone else mentioned, I would prefer to call it an adaptation (based on experiences) of our "self".
To answer your question, my current iteration was shaped by A. My previous iterations (son, husband, father, etc) and B. the death of my father 3 and half years ago.
Edit: stealing from those existentialist folks (sartre, etc) - our existence precedes our essence. Who we "are" hasn't been fully realized until our existence has come to a conclusion.

When I say "the same person", I mean having gone through experiences that have changed how you view things, how you approach life, etc.
For example, I am a huge sports fan, I have been since as far back as I can remember. When I was young LSU & the Saints were my favorite teams. But I guess.. Maybe pre-teens my interest started to expand. I still wanted my teams to win, got mad when they didn't, but I started to keep up with more than my teams or players I liked.
Then as I started to learn more about the games, I started to have an appreciate for the athletes, but was still a dedicated LSU & Saints fan (then the New Orleans Hornets when then of course became the Pelicans). As I got older, learned more, etc I became a different type of sports fan. This is what I mean..
But I am also using it as an example of how I don't mean completely changed into something else.
As you go through life you have different experiences and those experiences usually change how you view certain things.
So I am just asking, how long do people feel they have been the person they currently are. Something can happen in 15 mins from now that gives you a whole different perspective on life.
It's just something to spark discussion. Maybe reading what has changed other people and reading about their experiences can allow us to understand certain things better. I don't understand why some of you are so focused on the fact I started this thread. If you don't have an interest in discussing it, ignore it and stop just trying to tell me shite just to be cool.
