When I worked in an office, it was about 2-3 hours. I would generally get up at about 5:30 to 6:00 with no alarm clock, it took 15 minutes to get from door to desk, and I got to work for 8:30. I like to take my time in the morning, reading the paper, having coffee and a bite, evacuate the bowels, then shower and shave. I remember thinking, "why am I always rushing to get somewhere I really don't want to be?" So the last 20 years I just took it easy.

About 5 hours, usually these days. I'm up around 5 am with my newborn son to help with changing and feeding. Then deal with the dogs, make and eat breakfast, help get the rest of the family ready, another feeding and changing, etc., which takes another couple hours. Get in the shower about 8, out the door by 8:30. Hour and a half door-to-door commute and I'm in around 10.

What time do all of these 4-5 am a guys go to sleep at night?

In bed by 8pm, asleep by 8:30pm.

Consistency is the key. Weekends can be boring at times, but energy levels in the gym will be through the roof.

2:30 hours.

I exercise, read my Bible, shower, and then commute.

All the stuff I cannot do once my family wakes up.

The real answer to this is zero time. My brain works best when asleep. I've figured out so many problems in my sleep, that I've lost count. And I've worked from home for 30+ years. Being an expert is a pretty cool profession, if you can fool them for a few years you are golden. And eventually you actually are.

Around an hour. Woke up, fell out of bed. Dragged a comb across my head. Found my way downstairs and drank a cup and looking up, I noticed I was late. Found my coat and grabbed my hat. Made the bus in seconds flat. Found my way upstairs and had a smoke and somebody spoke and I went into a dream.

I pee, grab a cup of coffee, and go to my office for an hour to start my day, so about 4 minutes from bed to work.

I could be at work in 30 seconds. Typically, though, I wake up around 5-530, chill and drink coffee for an hour, go for a run, shower, and then start work at 8

I wake up at work and go to bed at work at least half the time. The other half I'm not offshore.

I'm retired now but my normal routine was about 3 hrs from wakeup to arrival. I would get up at 4am, shower, make some coffee, surf the web and wake up my wife around 6:30 before I left the house. She would get up and get the kids ready and get them to school for around 8am. She would go to work for 9 and I would do pick up. Most afternoons the boys had some kind of athletics so I would bring them home for dinner around 6pm.

This would change during Cross Country season. They ran at 6am to beat the heat. So I would get one son up for practice and be at my office around 6:20. I loved it. I was the first to the office and had lots of quiet time before my colleagues arrived.
