Judging by the request for patience, it sounds less about the gentrification aspect. Sounds more like construction hasn't gone very smooth and the neighbors are getting pissed.

Yep, complete remodel but we are doing the work ourselves (it will mean so much more) and only have $500 a month budgeted.
