I normally tip pretty well so they know me. I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes.

It is an ortho and apparently everyone is handicapped in here lol
Orthos are the worst in my experience, especially if you schedule an appointment the same day they have surgeries. One or two surgeries run long, and it throws their whole schedule out of whack.

It's all about how sick or uncomfortable I am since I am seeing the doctor for a reason.

You should get a doctor that practices concierge medicine unless you can't afford it. No waiting

because you refuse to pay the copay upfront.
My doc NEVER asks me to pay my copay up front. They just bill me later.

Time for a new doc. This one canceled my last two the day before saying he wouldn’t be in the office. Now people are leaving an hour or more after appointment without being seen.
I got the copay back. They weren’t happy they had to do that. Too bad

This is why I use a walk-in clinic, typically out of there within an hour and my prescription has already been sent to the pharmacist.

Paying copays upfront is a thing?

Are you in the Mandeville/Covington area? James Robinson is your man. He's MDVIP and I've rarely had to wait in the lobby/waiting room at all and only 5 (maybe 10) in the exam room.
He's an excellent doctor and, as an added bonus, has an excellent personality. He's worth the money.

Your doctor is letting money walk out the door.
Chance of provider collecting money when billed later drops by 20% to 40% depending on specialty

15 minutes and I never pay the co-pay until after the visit and I am satisfied with their service.

I guess you don't really have a problem then.
