How long are you willing to wait at the doctor?

Been in waiting room for a 2:15pm appointment since 2:00pm. Now 45 minutes past the appointment time and still waiting in a full waiting room.
If they hadn’t already taken my copay, I would be gone.

15 minutes and I never pay the co-pay until after the visit and I am satisfied with their service.

What is their reason why it’s taking so long?

I wasn’t given the option to pay after

How beta. You tell them you aren’t paying until after you’re satisfied.

Your doctor must suck. Any good doctor in my area has a waiting list and has no problem kicking you out because you refuse to pay the copay upfront.

First time in my life I considered walking out of a doctor's office was today. I waited in the exam room for a good 40 mins. The doctor came to the door as I was opening it to leave. He was apologetic, but I'm thinking I need to find a less busy practice.

Depends on the pain level or the percentage of probability of an inbound catastrophic health condition.
Or I just don't really worry about it and read a magazine or surf the phone until I am called. I could be in England where the wait time in measured in weeks.

It’s packed in here. No reasons given, a nurse comes out every so often and calls people.

Depends on the type of doctor and what I'm there for.
When I had knee surgery, every follow up with the orthopedic surgeon ran about an hour behind. I got used to it. They also had a policy that if you weren't checked in by 5 minutes past your scheduled appointment, you had to re-schedule.
I rarely wait more than 5 or 10 minutes past my appointment at my primary doc.
Wife runs a doctor's office, so I get how easily they get behind.

I always get appointments in the morning, as early as possible. Much less time to get behind on the appointments.

It is an ortho and apparently everyone is handicapped in here lol

This is why doctor's offices need to be retail so they can provide one of those buzzers or a 5 minute text warning.

Go ask for it back and reschedule

Some guy just got loud and said “my doctor is...tell him he is fired!” And walked out

They have a few more minutes and then I’m gone
