Did you guys read the rest of the article? A senator tweeted out that the man admitted perjury and the LGBQTZXPATMNW community are unhappy because it cheapens the law

I guess they didn’t think about any of this when they were writing up their ridiculous laws.

It would be the greatest civil rights issue today if the roles were reversed

Why stop there? What about breaking it down by race?

From what I was told by a former car insurance agent women may get in "more" accidents like fender benders but makes usually total vehicles and cause more personal injury so that's why men especially young men have higher rates.

I do find this humorous because girls are supposed to be better drivers. Almost all the girls I knew in high school got in at least one wreck.

An insurance salesman described it thusly:
Women ding the other car in the parking lot.
Men wrap their car around a telephone pole.

Same reason health insurance is higher for women.
It isn’t anymore, right.

We all buy the same lump program now.

It's not hard to understand. A few fender benders are peanuts to a serious accident with injuries. Males also drive more miles than females.

I guess the real question here is, when is it okay to use facts and statistics to treat one group of people differently than another group?

Yeah I'm pretty sure both group and individual plans cover pregnancy now, regardless of the sex of the purchaser.

However, females still have relatively cheaper life insurance rates.

Bingo.

Black people generally die younger than whites. Should I pay more for life insurance because of this?

Men do drive more than women. Its the law of averages. If a couple is in a car most of the time the husband is driving.

Frankly, I wish the only determining factors with auto/health/life were age and actual health. I think much of the sex and race discrepancies would come out in the wash across those three areas.

This has never been true at any of the employers I have worked. Same price whether male or female.

What the fock? You sound ignorant and stupid af. All the perks but none of the responsibility?! Separate but equal? You think all black people want to be in some of these circumstance they're in. There's a difference between being treated equally as my neighbor of a different color/ethnicity while being able to be separate in culture and/or race. And what perks?

Racist arse statements like this and mindsets from ignorant focks like you are some of the reasons why there's always issues between black and white people. Grow up
I am smarter than you are and your response to my statement proves it.

If my statement is ignorant, that proves you are saying everything in the past few years that black culture groups like BLM and other have pushed are ignorant. Because yes, They want to be separate but equal, yet it is "racist" for a white person to be proud to be "white".

So Thank you for proving the hypocrisy of your post, in your post as well as everything the black culture movement has dont over the years.

I'm not just referring to insurance. It's weird how sometimes it's okay to discriminate in business if there are facts and stats to back it up, but it's not always okay. Where is the line drawn? How is it determined that insurance can do this, but other business lines can't?

For life insurance purposes you'd want to be a Hispanic or Asian woman. For health insurance, behming Hispanic would likely be more expensive. For auto insurance, being Asian would be troublesome.

I also don't understand it from an actuarial/risk-assessment standpoint. Maybe on the face of it testosterone-fueled driving seems more dangerous, but only in the context of having to dodge and avoid the estrogen-fueled head-up-arse driving.
