Anecdotal story: we bought alot of alcohol for a party we had for the 4th, which included Bud Light. Still have the whole case here. It was completely untouched. I'll hold onto it through football season, but if it makes it through that, I'm gonna throw it out. Im not a beer drinker myself.

My earliest memories of watching LSU baseball involved Killian’s Irish Red beer and a Darrell’s special (at the original location).

Besides Killian’s I was a big Rolling Rock and Red Stripe fan.

That’s because a lot of the people who “boycotted” Bud Light are too stupid to realize they’re still giving their money to AB through other brands.

The amount of South Louisiana, pro-Trump/MAGA folks who quit drinking Bud Light because of the ad, only to start buying Mich Ultra, is astounding.

Yeungling works perfectly fine for me when I want something that's Budweiser-ish, as is Modelo. In fact, I like them better.

I didn't boycott Bud Light because I didn't drink Bud Light in the first place, but I don't think it was necessarily just about hurting AB financially. It was about sending a message about uber progressive/woke shite that was being forced on everyone. Message was clearly felt across industry.

Bud Light's former marketing vice president Alissa Heinerscheid,

Her mouth looks fake... like is made out of claymation or something. It's gigantic.

As far as bud light goes.... It was my go to beer for 30 years. I probably averaged a case a week for that time. I haven't bought any in a store since their marketing fiasco. I've had a couple at football games when that was the only option. Now I've gotten so used to Lite and Yeungling that Ill never go back.

They may have to switch from piss to actual beer to ever come back.

Their other products appear to be doing well. It's just bud light that is still lagging.

But all light beer tastes like piss water anyway.

This guy is the perfect consumer, believes that they really drink Bud light because that’s what they said in the commercial. And this is definitely not AB trying to re appeal to their base.

It reminds me of a series of Chevy commercials from the mid teens in Chicago, run around Blackhawks season. The end line was “Drive what Kane and Toews drive.”

One time Kane was getting interviewed and they asked what he drove. He started with “I should probably say Chevy, but my every day car is (whatever it was, I just remember it was a $150k+ car)”.

But baw would been running off to Chevy to grab a Chevy Cavalier. “Hey , it’s good enough for Jonathan Teows!”
