If Deal'n Doug doesn't gaf about my credit, I don't think I need to either.

Since we are old and have paid off everything and don't owe or borrow money, it has little or no impact on our lives. We also don't carry over a balance on credit cards so we really don't worry about the interest rate of credit cards that might be impacted by our credit rating which is very good FWIW.

How is her ability to stfu? If it's good, then marry her now.

Don't know. Don't care.

Not important at all. I have no debt, and don't intend to have any.

I wouldn't say that individual is in good financial footing.
No, but it means they are good with keeping to their responsibilities of borrowing and
paying back what they borrowed under the options given to them for repayment.
Your credit score is only really important a couple of times a decade if that (car purchase, major loan like a home, etc.). Credit card interest rates are affected by your score, but you can get credit cards with almost any score. Those with bad credit just need to pay off debt faster so they're not screwed by super-high interest rates. But those with awful credit usually have awful credit for a reason.

It's very important if you plan on growing up.

Bought a truck last week and mine was close to 740.

I'm not sure what's worse, this thread or the "what's your height/weight" threads.

Its important to me but I don't really worry about. Last I check it was 802, but I stay on top of my bills and don't overextend myself.

Mine was 831 then dropped to 802. I can't figure how the do this. Pay everything on time. Not carry a large amount of debt and have never defaulted on anything.

Realistically there's not going to be any difference between the two I wouldn't worry about it
Posted on 6/10/17 at 3:49 pm to Pico de Gallo
My credit score isn't important to me at this time.

quote:833 is damn good. about as close to perfect as I have seen. Mine is" only" 809 on that chase portal. Should be a good bit higher but I have been a bad boy at the car dealerships in the past 18 months or so. lol

As mentioned, you get the same rates anywhere above 800, so it doesn't matter. If you don't have any revolving loans with balances you're still paying off, that can knock your score down some. Some people think that paying everything off and having no debt will give them their highest score, but consistently paying a debt down shows borrower responsibility. The system needs some tweaking, but that's how it goes.

No they can't man. That's where the % of monthly outstanding credit owed versus available comes into play. Wow.
Want to Check my truth in the matter? check your credit score today. Go get a new credit card, and max that thing out as soon as you get it. Pay it a couple months minimum payment. Recheck that credit score and watch. Dropping like rock.
I wish Dave Ramsey's course was mandatory in all middle schools.
