It's obviously not CL and fake, but funny because it's true with what you deal with on CL and FB market place.

Craigslist is the worst, tried to sell my truck on there once. Had a mexican ask me if I wanted to trade for a truck with more miles and 3 years older than mine.

Craigslisters are usually ballers.
This us very surprising.

I had a sketchy arse Middle Eastern guy try to trade me his Mercedes plus cash (as in actual cash) for a 2 bedroom apartment in Oxford I was selling. He got even sketchier and bailed when I told him I was graduating law school

This is fricking stupid. I also I dont understand why people get offended when a low ball offer comes in. People ask because the worse you can say is no or start negotiating..m

I lowball people all the time because at least half the time, they counter with a reasonable price that is lower than the initial price. Sometimes they laugh in your face, but the stated price is rarely the best price, and the first offer is rarely serious. It's called haggling.

Sure, but on a $1500 car, offering $1000 is more reasonable. $500 is an insult to the Jewish monetary policy theory.

I don't have a problem with a reasonable low ball, I do it all the time. That's not what this is.

Yup. What is the harm in asking for a lower price? Also, does it really hurt someone that much to receive a lower offer. People act like you are trying to steal or harm someone for simply making an offer.

Same. If you start at the price that you want to pay, you’ll usually end up paying more than you want to pay.
