dont understand why people get offended when a low ball offer comes in.
I don't but when I once told a guy a simple no on a ridiculous offer he immediately got mad and started to tell me how much I liked little boys so I hung up on him.

If someone offers you $500 for a $1500 item, what they are telling you is that they cannot afford to buy it. They are wasting your, and their, time. There is no reason to even answer them.

Why do people who go to Reddit get upset when posted here?
I can't Reddit, it's too much and looks like shite.

Craigslist is the worst, tried to sell my truck on there once. Had a mexican ask me if I wanted to trade for a truck with more miles and 3 years older than mine.

That reminds me of weird al.

Most of CL now is

" Hello, I really like your item and want to buy it. Please be kindly removing the listing as I am your buyer. I am traveling now, and cannot be there. I will send you a check for $500 more and you bring the car to the shipping terminal"

In my case he called me on a Craigslist ad 9 years ago, not much else to do.

To me it's usually obvious when someone is wanting to "play the game" by how they price an item. If for example the price is $4400 and there's no "firm" or "priced to sell," etc. statement, then the $4000 mark is probably what they'll realistically take after some jewing.

Far as Craigslist goes, frick that place. Nothing but scammers. I'm not on Facebook, but I'd imagine it can't be AS bad? Or is it?

I tried to sell a truck for $21.5k, which was a pretty good deal. Guy asked if he could buy it for $11.5k, because that's all he could afford. I told him to go try and buy a $5 pack of cigs for $2.50, and let me know how that went. He got pissed, and I had to block his emails

That's why you put in there price firm. If you trying to haggle I'll just increase price.

fricking hate the poors that counter your offer. I am selling a nice item, for a below reasonable price. I am doing that as it will sell quickly, as in today. No I will not lower my requested price further to suit you
