I think most people cannot throw as fast as they think they can. I remember trying years ago at one of those radar gun things in a ball park and was able to get to mid 60s. I was a little disappointed in myself. These damn pitchers look like they're hardly trying and they hit 85 easy.

You should have been. 93 is some serious heat for a amateur.

Haha no sir, I had no control. I just had a live arm.

After I stopped playing, I refuse to get clocked. It would only make me binge drink

The fastest I was ever measured was 91 mph with a Juggs gun, but I had no control throwing that hard. I could reach 82-84 mph with some semblance of control when pitching. And when I say semblance am using it in the loosest sense possible.

No pitcher has ever had those kind of stats ever in the history of baseball. I'm just having a little fun bullshitting with people

I could get up to 89 in hs... had some offers but I chose to enjoy college with all my friends rather than waking up at 6 every morning to practice

I threw a lot of batting practice while coaching baseball and kept my arm in shape. 13 years ago at 50, I did throw 71. At 54, it was max of 68. Today, Maybe 60+ if I crow hopped......

I have never had a clocked throw. Pitched in little and pony leagues and played left field in high school. I probably would tear a ligament on a windup today.

Not sure how accurate they are but at the fair I used to throw low 80s pretty easy but i never played baseball from about 12 on. I used to could swing a driver in the 125 to 130 mph range when I wanted though.
