I have never seen how fast I can throw. I'm kind of curious. I have always had kind of a strong throwing arm for a fairly unathletic normal person, although I concentrated more on football. Where would one go to get this checked out?

The nicer batting cages usually have a gun. Just go stand by the machine and throw. The one I used today had a pitching cage with a gun set up. Try a Dicks sporting goods or an Academy. I've seen a gun set up in both stores before for the public to throw on.

I use to have an arm like a fricking cannon. But sometimes when you bring the thunder, you get lost in the storm.

I was actually the ace pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2004-2007..I tore multiple ligaments in my arm so I had to step down and retire... my average ERA throughout my career was 0.02, with and average of 19 strikeouts per game, and only 8 players hit the ball to the outfield in my career..

Oh what could have been .

In HS I threw 80-82 consistently topping out at 85

I doubt I could hit 60 today

Wasn't a pitcher, hit 93 from across the diamond once.

You should have been. 93 is some serious heat for a amateur.

the last throw I made when I was trying to just hit 70 I felt the worst pain in my finger tips. I have never aired it out again after that

Today I was barely in the mid 60's. I hit 68 one time and that was bringing all I had with no control.

Been there man. I got the same story.

Never been clocked. I bet I could hit 70mph but I would have no idea where the ball would be.

Weird since they had a different "ace" most of those seasons, and none had the stats you claim.

Pitched a bit in HS, low 70's. A few years ago I was at 55. Now? Probably around 45. I played so much ball that I "threw my arm out." I probably couldn't break a wet newspaper from 60 feet.

Why hell no, anyone knows the Pirates never had a pitcher with those stats in recent history.

Kip Wells was probably their best pitcher during that time and he'd be lucky to be .500 with 5 era.
