We moved back to my childhood home in 2013. My grandmother passed and my mother moved into her house and signed over my childhood home to us. Not having a mortgage anymore is a blessing and something we didn’t see coming so soon. My wife’s parents have lived in and pay the mortgage on the house we bought in 2005 since 2013. We got lucky and I’m grateful for it.
