How easy is it to catch Uber and Lyft at 3AM in BR? Airport run.

Just curious. Got a night layover. Trying to pinpoint whether I can trust getting an ride.

A few years ago when I was back they were nonexistent.

Both are pretty prevalent now. But 3am at BTR may be tough unless it'a s weekend. However. Just call a cab if there aren't any. They'll definitely come for you. It's not like you'll be in the country and more than 15 min away from anyone in the city if they're awake and taking fares.

Not only do they exist they actually INCREASED when Uber and Lyft showed up to capture the ever-growing responsible drunken folks in BR and the South in general.

it's unreal how much easier/better the uber or lyft experience is compared to a cab

I'm confused too. I think he's meaning he's staying the night in BR and has a ride to wherever he's staying and flying out at 5 am or something.

Now That I understand you. Getting a Luber TO the BTR from somewhere in the city should be relatively easy at 3am.

They are just as much a stranger as an uber driver and probably held more accountable.

When people bitch about price surge late at night, im always recommending a regular cab. wherever you're going its probably not far.

When I was in BR you could never ever trust BR cabs. You’ll call and they’ll never show up. That’s the problem with BR cabs.

i think if you pre-arrange the uber/lyft in advance is best so you know they will be there. at that time of morning they may not still be running (at least the ones not on meth) unless they know they have you wanting them at a certain time.

AND if it falls through for some reason then just use the cab as emergency backup option

Where are you staying? Lots of hotels have airport shuttles.

You're absolutely correct. But since Lubers and shite slashed their rep and revenue, you are starting to see a LOT more cabs on the streets where you used to never see them. Cruising up and down Perkins Road on a Wed night at 8pm for example. They clearly made an effort since about 2013 to get some marketshare back.

Why in the hell do you need to get to BTR at 3:30? The first flight out is at like 5:20.

Amazes me how many uber and lyft drivers there are these days in well populated areas.

This is off subject from OP, but even at 3 or 4am on a Tuesday it is less than 5 minutes for pick up in my area. Usually like 3 minutes. Tap request and run to the door 24/7.
