Do you live in a subdivision that’s was under construction when you bought? If so you gotta keep the complaints to a minimum until they are done building. I know a guy who is always complaining about construction trash and debris in and around his yard. He moved into a house that had another house being built right next to him. Asked him wtf he expected and he thinks construction workers are gonna make sure no sawdust crosses the property line when the houses are only 3 feet from each other.

I’m sure it’s very fulfilling work.

As for concrete pours, in the south they will very often happen overnight or early in the morning due to weather as mentioned. Also, if there are big government infrastructure projects going on in the area then the smaller projects have to get the concrete when they can. Happened to me often during the airport construction. We had to get our concrete at very obscure hours.

Did you try reporting them to the CONSTRUCTION BOARD?

Concrete Casanova has to be held in check

Standard concrete pour practice. They'll be gone in a day or two, Karen.

Gotta get that slab poured before it gets too hot, baw!

This.

As a former superintendent/project manager, it sucks, but this is when you're supposed to do it. Way way too hot if you start it at 9-10 AM. You also gotta make sure there's no precipitation either.

I thought it was the roofers who would frick your spouse, not the concrete guys.

The roofers will nail her and then the concrete guys will finish her off.

If they don't want the slab to ruin they will start at 5:30 or before in this heat.

Eh, pouring concrete is like a one time thing. It's not like they're partying every night or cutting grass weekly. Horrors!

You should have went out there and instructed them to halt that concrete pour.

I've had bridge deck pours here in Louisiana during the summers starting at 1 AM because of the heat and I had to have the concrete plants put ice in the the mixing drums so that it would not cure before the finishers could finish the concrete.

pretty good chance your slab was poured at that time as well so you should just get over it and move along.

Don’t you build from the foundation up?

Concrete guys, carpenters, roofers, in that order.

If they were pouring a slab for you, there would be no problem with that, because you would not want a early afternoon shower screwing up your slab. Suck it up, its not like a every day thing next to you.
