List of the 50 least-educated parishes in Louisiana -KLFY
I wonder where St. Landry would rank if they cut out Eunice and LSUE.

33. St. Landry Parish

Less than high school diploma: 23.3% ($19,124 median earnings)
High school graduate: 41.2% ($27,884)
Some college or Associate’s degree: 20.8% ($31,529)
Bachelor’s degree: 10% ($41,646)
Graduate or professional degree: 4.8% ($53,691)

I haven't read the list yet and I'm betting my parish is in the bottom 10%...Bienville.
17. Bienville Parish
12.8% of population 25 years and over with Bachelor’s degree or higher
Less than high school diploma: 15.9% ($13,500 median earnings)
High school graduate: 44.5% ($27,339)
Some college or Associate’s degree: 26.8% ($32,039)
Bachelor’s degree: 8.1% ($43,964)
Graduate or professional degree: 4.7% ($60,804)
Kind of shocking to me. I guess there are quite a few schools and they all need teachers. The overall population of the parish is pretty small and that contributes to a better %.

Damn, Washington Parish only 8th! I'm sure it's a voting machine error.

Not on the list, though our public officials would belong there.

I live in Ascension Parish where we wholeheartedly believe that prohibiting house pads 3 feet or higher will prevent 30” of rainfall from flooding the Amite and spilling out across the parish. We also fully believe (and fight anyone who disagrees) that we should put more emphasis on stopping further development instead of fixing the drainage issues first. Because frick ditches and other ways for runoff to find its natural home in canals and the Amite River. That’s too monumental of a task for voters to believe in so our leaders have successfully convinced people living here that those evil developers who are taking advantage of capitalism to put food on their tables are the real problem, not the fact that 99% of the ditches across this parish are clogged with dirt and trash that the parish refuses to clean up because that’s “the state DOTD’s problem”, not theirs.
I could go on and on.

So there's 64 parishes in Louisiana what about the other 14?
Posted on 2/14/22 at 11:51 am to BitBuster
Collin County Texas
52.6 percent of those 25 and older had a bachelor's degree or higher, far outpacing the state and national figure that hover between 26 and 28 percent. More than 9 out of 10 workers 25 and older have at least a high school diploma.
