it was over 32 and 2290, she didn't say exactly but it was near perfect from what I remember. I just remember it was higher than my own and those two were mine. Her grades were pristine except one B, took every class as gifted and all AP classes available in sciences.

I was with you on points 1-4 and commend you for your hard work and success. That’s what we need to highlight and champion more than anything else.
Point 5 actually disproves your color blind theory. As a white male whom got a 32, and a slightly better SAT score (2310) I did not get in to MIT. Now could it have been because of my writing ability? Maybe. But that’s a variable that’s extremely subjective.

BFHS has ridiculous standards to get in, and it’s no secret to be the best school you have to have the best students.
Additionally, they weed out their students that lag behind. I would say they lose anywhere from 20-30 kids a graduating class due to grade retention....even shrinking their accepted best students to the best of the best prior to graduating.

Franklin usually starts with 230-240 and graduates about 170. There have been years when as many as 50 students fail out or choose to leave after or during freshmen year. It is not impossible to get in. With their matrix, if you have all As or near it from a crappy school you can still get in even if you near fail the entrance test. But once you get in, neither your skin color nor your family money will keep you there if you cannot cut it academically.

Actually, they are not. They have been a Charter School since reopening after Katrina. Prior to that, they were a school for the gifted. They have a pretty cool history. They have had admission requirements, including IQ testing, since their inception in 1957.

These kids are genetically superior in terms of IQ. By far,, that is the overriding factor. Now because their parents are also genetically superior IQ wise, they are likely to be more involved. But there are also a ton of parents who simply let their kids take full responsibility at school and these kids score just as high.

That's simply not true. Jesuit is essentially the only school you can unequivocally put above Ben Franklin in the entire state. Jesuit had the most National Merit Scholarship semifinalists in the state with 35. Ben Franklin had 17. No one else had more than 9.
