How do you tell friends you quit drinking?

...esp friends that you typically get together and drink with when visiting or doing stuff? Best way to say it without seeming irrational, judgemental, or weird?

Just tell them you decided it's not for you. If they're friends, they'll respect you for it. I rarely drink-like maybe once a year if that. I hang out with drinkers and it's never a problem.

This is what I did.
Just stop. If they mention it, just say I quit, if they give you shite tell them to shut up. After a while you will realize no one even notices if you don't drink. And if your self conscious, get a tonic and lime and sip on that, no one can tell that it's not a drink

Make sure to tell them whether or not you are okay if they drink around you.
If you can't handle them drinking around you, they will respect it, but there will be some changes in y'all's relationship - necessary changes.
If you are truly not bothered by them drinking around you, make sure they know and can truly believe you are telling the truth. Be sure to tell them specifically what might be tempting and what's no temptation at all. Otherwise, they'll always worry about whether they should be drinking around you.
