How do you find that sweet spot in between being a neck beard and shaving to your jawline? Neck beard is obviously trashy and too unkept. But shaving too far up your neck and creating a chinstrap will make your neck look huge and your face look tiny.

Let's use George Lucas as an example. Dude's neck looks huge compared to his face because of the way he shaves his beard.

just dont be a fatty and youre neck wont look like Georges.

I trim my beard with the 1/4" attachments and then shave the cheeks and neck with a regular razor.

Tuck your chin as tight as you can. Put a finger horizontally in the lowest fold at your throat. Keep your finger there, and raise your chin back up to a normal resting position. Your finger location likely marks a very reasonable low shave line. Slowly taper the line up to *below* the points of your jawbone. That's going to be flattering to most face shapes. Feel free to fine tune from there.

If you have some bizarre combo like Lucas, godspeed.

Halfway down the neck just off the Adams’s apple.

No need to overthink it.

I start the trim under the Mandibular Angle and basically draw a straight line to the same spot on the opposite. It gives me ample amount of chin coverage underneath without extending to the neck this part isn’t visible unless looking up directly under my chin. I use a Wahl Stainelss Steele Lithium Ion and have been using it for approx. a year and a half. It has Been a solid routine for me. Have had not shaved since Sept 2017 sans the weekly upkeep.

I prefer my beards to be clean shaven, otherwise, someone might figure it out.

Most beards are fully capable of shaving themselves. Plus, the man with the beard usually wouldn't be the least bit interested in getting involved with shaving the fun parts.
