So at work, customer is sent to my office. I take his info and need to make copy of his drivers liscence. I go make copy and notice he is a sex offender. As I get back to my office he was looking at a picture of my son who is 3, he says I have an adorable child.

I awkwardly said thanks and quickly changed the subject.

I googled his name once he was gone . Charged with sexual abuse In 3rd degree, aggervated incest.

Made me disgusted, when I think back on the comment he made about my son.

How would the O-T handle my situation?

I would start by working on your spelling, because your 3 old son might be able to spell better than you.

Are you related to him? If not, it seems you have nothing to worry about based on this.

Besides saying "thanks", you handled it as well as you could at the time, I guess.

It's not like you're allowed to kill him on the spot. But now you know his full history, you can probably tell him to keep his fricking thoughts to himself and find somewhere else to patronize.

This might be the weirdest made up story on the OT ever. None of that happened but it's still interesting to ponder.

Sadly it's true. I don't think I'm a sick enough individual to come up with that story or would want to make up that story

There really is no any other way to handle it than the way you did. Are you willing to lose your job over this?

Continue living my life? In what way have you been wronged so that you need to take some kind of action? I guess I'm sort of confused here.

I would have just stared blankly at him for 5 seconds or until he changed the subject

They put that you are a sex offender on your license? Does it just say sex offender in bright red letters are something?

When I'm forced to deal with a sex offender, I make the altercation as difficult as possible.

The entire dynamic changes once I know that.

I'd read more, buy a dictionary and pay attention to the little red lines under certain words in my posts. Maybe run a spell check on my emails.

In fairness, the OP isn't the best speller so the license may have actually had "RESTRICTED- DAYLIGHT ONLY" on it.
