I just give them all free French fries for the day. All they can eat. They still have to cook the fries themselves.

We didn’t get a bonus this year so anything would be nice, I’d take a membership to jelly of the month club

1/2 year = 1/2 paycheck
1 years = full week paycheck
2 years = 2 weeks paycheck
3 years = 3 weeks paycheck
4 years = 4 weeks paycheck
5 years = 5 weeks paycheck
After 5 - they are tapped out until the reach 10 years and get a 10 weeks paycheck

Typically it's 15%-25% of yearly salary. It's been as low as 10% and as high as 30%. This year it was 15%, had some restructuring.

I'm in the same boat, a bonus would be nice but at my salary you definitely aren't gonna see me bitch and lose my job over it.

This year I think what he did was take the difference between the increased revenue and increased expenses, divided it by the number of employees, then put it all in his pocket while not giving a Christmas party.

To go along with your fickle, idiotic, morale destroying decision-making with respect to your subordinates, it seems we’ve identified a second reason you no longer have employees.

Companies that give bonuses are basically admitting that your salary is too low.

End of year/Holiday celebration includes: monetary payment based on annual performance of the company (usually have 1-2 other bonuses throughout the year as well), gift and nice office lunch. Hard work should be rewarded and staff needs to feel valued and appreciated.

Several years ago my bonus was $10. They paid way more than that in salary for us to wait for our manager to get there. In all fairness, I think it came from his own pocket, but a waste nonetheless.

Last year I got a nice bonus. It was a very profitable year for the company. 2017 has been a lot slower for us so I'm not expecting much, if anything.
I think a bonus program helps retention in industry with high employee turnover. Human capital is important.

We give Quarterly if business is good and almost every year (sans 2009) give a really nice Christmas bonus to all employees. Amount is based on performance, attitude and longevity with the company. Less than 10 employees though.
