how do you like your ice...Crushed or cubed?

I usually used cubed ice in my drinks and I'll chew on the ice once it melts down. It seems that more people prefer the crushed though. What's the ot's opinion or is there a difference?

I prefer cubed.
Crushed will melt faster due to more exposed surface area, thus watering down you drink more quickly.

I use cubed because I feel it's less wear and tear on my icemaker, as irrational as that may sound

Are you kidding with this? Unless you have a straw it's impossible to drink liquid out of crushed ice and not get the ice in your mouth.
