Wrong Krewe. I'm in Thoth which doesn't have an extravaganza. We have 2 black tie events a year; the coronation (no charge for members, just guests. Cocktail party beforehand, full sit down dinner, and open bar throughout event.) and the Ball Masque which if free for anyone that wants to suffer through that. The majority just go to the after-ball party which costs everyone, including members.

No you wouldn’t because you would have nobody who would want to be on a balcony with you.

There is a float fee, usually about $60, which includes all the beer, drinks, food, etc on the float.

How many Por-o-cans on each float?

When did they start charging for members tickets? I thought you guys said they were included in the dues?
Depending on where the seats are you may have to pay an upgrade fee.

Depends on the float, I guess, but my experience is one on each level.

Can’t remember his screen name but that piece of shite who thought he was a badass on the OT is in Endymion, I think. If it’s trashy arse can get in I think anybody can.

It looks to me from the email we got yesterday that evebody has to pay for seats now. Members and non members unless im mistaken. Maybe I’ll reach out to the float lieutenant to see what’s up. I just remembered this thread and knew a couple guys more knowledgeable than me posted in here.

Members pay a reduced price for two tickets…guest tickets are approximately twice the member price. Seating selections are based on member seniority.

Back to top I would like to join and talking to other members, Its about $3500 and that does include some throws. Some people spend another $1k-$2k on throws.

Along with a $300 one time initiation fee for new members, dues just went up to $2100, and they also increased the member charges on Extravaganza tickets.

People who ride on some “specialty” floats like the welcome to Mardi Gras and Pontchartrain Beach floats have to pay a little extra in dues.

May be my last year riding after 31 years.

Most seats used to be free, but costs for the Dome and entertainment have gone up so here we are.

I don’t mind paying money for it, but I think they should scrap the two performer model and just get one “famous” act then do a cover band or something. Lots of folks leave after the first performer anyway.

Hopefully they have an act worth the increased fees this year.
