How do you get a 4 and 2 year old to sleep in same room?

Been wanting to move my girls into same bedroom for a long time but each time we tried, 2 year old freaked out.
Well a few days ago the 2 year old decided to stop sleeping. No naps, wouldn’t sleep at bed, just screaming and sobbing.
Tried cry it out. Did not work and we didn’t try for 30 minutes either.
So we’re trying something new. Put her on crib mattress on floor next to big sisters bed (new mattress on way).
Little sis was much calmer but she wouldn’t stfu. Big sis got annoyed because the little one just kept chattering. An hour and 20 minutes later they’re not finally asleep (for now).
Those of you with kids sharing rooms how do you do it? Any tips?

Tell them the doctor said it is important to do it. They don't HAVE to but they will need to get a shot weekly, with a big needle.
That should do it.

Man we had it so good just a week ago. Both kids in bed by 730-8. Now it’s a royal pain in the arse again. Can’t wait until sleep isn’t a thing and they can go to bed without a big production.
For the most part they were good until last week when 2 year old regressed.

My 9, 7, and 3 yo can’t sleep if they’re in different rooms.

We got them a bed tent like this
Also, I ran them ragged every day of the first week that we made the transition. They were so tired they would’ve slept on the kitchen counter.

Have your wife sleep between them.

That’s way too early for kids to share a room

Trundle bed for little one worked well for us.
But god speed. 2 of mine are this age and sleep is the most precious commodity in our house.

Get a bigger house.
Joking aside, I have a boy and girl. They each get their own room. Our 4th bedroom is our second office.

Put scary mannequins and clown dolls in all the other rooms.

Why do you want them in safe room?
Mine are three years apart and have always had their own room.
