I think a person’s knowledge of a subject is directly proportional to his interest in the subject. The “smartest” people, to me, are those who are passionate about their interests.
There are trivia experts, such as Ken Jennings, who amaze us but it’s the specialists, such as Einstein and Edward Witten, who advance us as a species.

I like how anything I say will be turned into something extreme. I make statement about something I said was given to me second hand so that means I haven't experienced anything and need to go out and experience shite.
You want me to get off of the OT, yet there are people who post a lot more throughout the day than I do (when I post depends on whether or not I have down time. You can look through my post and see the times in which I post to find out that I am not always on here).
So stop trying to fit in..

My kids book smart so im working to teach him everything i can about life in society. He's 7 but can pump gas, make a purchase with debit, do laundry and dishes, use deductive reasoning for problem solving, and youtube whatever he doesn't know how to do.
I put the phone on speaker whenever i call a business so he can learn how to talk professionally.

I agree with this. Hard work plays a factor in someone being "smart". I'd say its having a certain type of intelligence and knowing how to apply it to be successful.

Someone with the ability to describe what they want to convey clearly and straight to the point.

Imo being a leader rather than a follower is a great indication of smarts and self confidence. Hope this works out , doesn’t appear to be a good sign
It's often the guy behind the guy, out of the public eye, that is the real leader, imo. Anyone who says they can lead alone is often a poor leader.
Intelligence is two-pronged...there's emotional intelligence and there's the agile mind. I've met plenty of people with incredibly agile minds who have an absolute inability to empathize with people. Likewise, I've met incredibly empathetic people who would fail HS math tests.
I find the "smartest" people I know have an ability to not only retain information and apply those ideas to problem solving, but also have the ability to explain, teach, and carry other people to greater understanding of those same ideas.

Many people confuse intelligence with being able to remember a huge amount of facts. Intelligence comes from applying data in ways to be able to solve problems. There is intelligence and then there is Wisdom. Random factoid: out of my HS graduation class 27 of us went on to LSU. Out of that 27 only 3 of us graduated.

Honestly, someone who can shoot from the hip in a conversation. Someone that can smoke people in scattegories.
Someone who can go to trivia night and dominate.
I don’t care what a persons GPA is. Real world intelligence and ability is what makes a person successful.
