Do nothing. Assume they've been drinking. Also assume they're old, and can't see what auto-correct has done to the message they've intended to send. This happens to me on the reg on the phone when I'm sending missives. Not so much on the computer, because I can see.

I don’t text or use the phone a lot anyway. It’s mostly just my family and a couple of friends. But last year my principal makes some ridiculous demand on the last day of school, won’t respond to my phone calls, but keeps texting me.

Do what I did. Get rid of the phone. It sucks when you randomly want to order food but the upside is phenomenal. No strange texts or calls, nobody asking can you help me move...hell, nobody calling to ask you help do anything.

My wife (no pics) likes to text me "I'm stressed" or "I'm anxious" with zero detail and I have started responding with "cool".
I tell her to stop making me pry for the information. Don't make me asked what your stressed about, just fricking tell me so we can move on to solutions.
