How do we stop the issue of kids with no involved father?

So one of the more recent attempts at a "gotcha" I'm seeing in the last couple of days, is a variant of:

"Well if women are going to be forced to have babies they don't want, then men should be forced to be involved in the baby's life".

I 100 percent agree. Kids benefit from two parents that are involved and love each other. Even if the parents are not together as husband and wife.

We have waaaaaay too many kids in this country without a loving and involved mother and father.

While there are some women who want to rock the single mom life and just view a man as seed... most of the time it's the man that leaves (often before baby is born) and has no involvement in the child's life.

Taking away welfare benefits for single moms does nothing to get the father involved.

So... how do we fix this problem? Can we fix this problem?

Stop the government from funding babies.

End of story.

The American welfare state subsidizes terrible decision making by the lowest common denominators. End the welfare state and you'll see less one-parent households.

The govt can’t solve all problems, this is one of them. The govts contributes to the problem by supporting those who choose to have children out of wedlock. It can only stop contributing to the issue by essentially encouraging it.

Maybe women will become more responsible for their own health and learn to prevent this.

I, for one, am reserving my judgment on this issue until Walt posts his/her opinion as tigergirl10.

I say we just let this happen.

"Oh yea, you're going take away our abortions, well guess what now, buddy. We're going to start doing responsible shite up in here."

I'd tune out right there. Most of the "men" who run from responsibility to their children are the type of "man" you would not want anywhere near children, much less raising them.

ETA: It revolves around decision making by the woman. Trash In = Trash Out. Make better choices as if your life depends on it, because it actually does depend on who you choose to frick and how you choose to frick them.

Some men want to be good fathers but don't know how because they did not have good fathers themselves. Men from my church mentor young fathers and teach them how to be loving, responsible parents.

Society has purposely crushed the nuclear family. There is no going back.

It would take a societal collapse to happen again. Society is too soft
