Funny that you say this. I had an awesome time in Pittsburg, but the one time I've been a little scared for my life happened in a rural area of Western PA. I was raised in South Louisiana, I have "trashy" relatives there, and I have redneck family in Mississippi. However, some people who I encountered in Western PA made me think I was in The Hills Have Eyes.

Don’t worry. You don’t have to worry about the NYers and Californians moving to Louisiana. They couldn’t give two fricks about Louisiana. They view Louisiana as a poor, crime-ridden, uneducated shithole full of white-trash hicks and ghetto trash-hoodrats.

Every summer, something like a million and a half people from Ohio vacation in NC, SC, Outerbanks, Hilton Head etc. it’s crazy how many Ohio license plates I see on the way there. The youngest lives in Mt Pleasant (Charleston) and occasionally catches an earful about being from Ohio.

Every time I meet somebody fleeing a Blue State in Texas I look at them and say:
“Remember you are a refugee and not a missionary”
They almost always start laughing and I look at them with the most stoic Marine face I have and say “that wasn’t a joke” and walk away.
Those dumb@sses voted to create the hellholes they are fleeing and they need their noses rubbed in it like a puppy!
