I am not trying to defend Obama the way people defend Trump on here. I thought he was an okay president. I didn't vote for him in 08, I did in 2012... So I am not asking this because I am one of those "how dare you say something bad about this person" types.

The only way I saw where there were division when it came to Obama was that there were people who didn't like him because they didn't want a black president (to be fair there were people who voted for him simply because he was black).

But there were a lot of people who bought that whole "Obama is a Muslim who wasn't born in this country" which Trump was the one who started it (if you don't believe me you can look it up. He was the first one that started calling for him to show his birth certificate and saying he wasn't American. And I believe to some degree, since he donated to Hillary's campaign, some of that bullshite was done to help Hillary win the preliminary.

Just for the record, Trump used to be a friend/supporter of the Clintons until he won the Republican primary and would be running against Hilary. But his daughter and the Clinton daughter are actually friends..

Somehow disban a biased media.

Obama intentionally set race relations back 50 years in 8 years. The progressive left needs division in order to survive.

What you think of as the "Right" are the moderates. There is no far right political movement in this country.

I will put this possible solution out there. People need to critically examine who gives them the information they consume. Then put that in their pocket and talk to actual people. Put down their defenses and moral high grounds and actually listen to each other.

I’m willing to guess that most people see more eye to eye than they know. But they are letting the propaganda of social media and mainstream news cloud their judgement and harden them to assume that there are only two sides.

If you are trying to divide a people, draw a line in the sand and make them pick a side. The vast majority in the middle will either pick an extreme or bow out of the conversation all together.

We are being intentionally divided, friends. Outside forces want us to quarrel because they can steal the bread from our tables while we are fighting each other.

Realize the enemy is not within, but outside the house.
