If you doubt your ability to win, then strip down and charge your opponent. Most times, no one is going to want to fight a naked stranger, eliminating the need to fight.

Happened all the time in Ancient Greece. Wrestlers fought naked. Gymnastics in latin means to exercise naked, gymnos means naked.

I would have to think there is an element of shock for the person with clothes on. How the frick do you find yourself in a position fighting a dude butt arse naked. Then there is the idea of touching his dick. You don't want to get on the grown and then find the naked dude on top of you.. And he isn't as restricted because he doesn't have clothes on.

A friend of mine had caught someone trying to steal his kids toys of his patio. He ran outside with his pistol and chased them away. I’m not sure if they ran away because he had a gun or because he was butt arse naked
