So what does it tell you about a person that makes a low ACT score; good GPA in school and passes professional exams that are way harder than the ACT. Dumb as nails I guess.
That you didn't know how to take a test in high school, and learned how later.
Or you do better on a more focused test of subjects you're interested and knowledgeable in than tests of a more generalised nature.

28 hungover after junior prom.

So the ACT is the only test that proves your intelligence?

Took it in the 7th grade with that program Duke sponsors and scored a 15.
Took it in the 10th and got a 27. Took a summer course designed to help with scores and got a 30 my junior year. Took it again early senior year and got another 30 so I figured that was as good as I was going get.
31 math
30 science
30 English
29 reading
I was on the quiz bowl team and most of those guys made 32+. One made a 35. I worked with a guy who made a 35 on the math but 15 on everything else. Dude could solve any math problem in his head in a few seconds.

This could be true. I did attend public school in EBRP.

You'd have higher than 29 with those scores

How did you do on the ACT?
Posted on 5/17/18 at 9:12 pm to lsudave1
If everyone is telling the truth, I feel like an idiot although my scores are higher than some here. At the time, I got TOPS and extra $ but not nearly Most of these scores. Only remember 2 people in my school getting over 30.
Posted on 5/17/18 at 9:12 pm to lsudave1
When you read all these wild claims, remember that the OT cannot grasp PEMDAS and a score of 34 puts you in the 99th percentile.
33 composite.
33 composite.

Well the the ACT is accepted by a few high IQ societies, for example. I'm not sure if any engineering tests are.
The ACT is a pretty damn good barometer of general intelligence.

2 people in my class of 435 scored over 30.
One was a co-valedictorian with a 32, and the other was ranked in the teens in the class with a 30.
I guess the test got easier since the late 90s

Yeah that part was a joke..."exceptional in math".

Yeah that's way off. That's a 31 composite.

No shite. I blame it on being the last section.
