It hasn't in any appreciable way. Composite scores are mostly flat.

So professional engineering tests are not good barometers for intelligence? So the state engineering boards make you take two exams in order to stamp engineering drawings but yeah the board is giving unintelligent people free reign to stamp drawings. This conversation is going no where fast.

If everyone is telling the truth, I feel like an idiot although my scores are higher than some here. At the time, I got TOPS and extra $ but not nearly Most of these scores. Only remember 2 people in my school getting over 30.
My son goes to St. Pauls and I there were 36 juniors this year that got 30 or better.

Kinda hard for it to go anywhere with all this nonsense

In fairness, test prep has really taken off in the past 20 years.
Most people took it cold once or twice in their junior or senior year of high school. These days, anybody that hasn't been prepping for a couple of years prior to taking the test for real is either a stone cold genius or a stone cold moron.
College has become more competitive across the board so parents and students are negligent leaving things to one roll of the dice. Especially since some colleges will allow superscoring.

bet you did great in the reading section of the test.
I'm willing to bet I did better than you, but this discussion is useless. You sound defensive.

They aren't accepted because of the way they are scored.
Each state scores differently, and it all depends on who you take the test with. You are compared to the other test takers and a certain percentile is "passed".
You could literally fail with a higher score than the score you pass with.

Given your score, probably not.

Come on man, you're trying to compare two very specific exams to a general intelligence test like the ACT. There are no parallels.
Also, you're very defensive of your score. I'd rather hire someone with your score and college GPA over a slap dick like myself when I was coming out of school.

Wrong. The NCEES gives the exam. It’s a national exam. Everybody is scored the same.

I'm sorry.
State licenses to take them are different.
But I'm right on the scoring

I got a 36 but they called it the SAT. Not sure why they wouldn’t let me in college.

Did you take the GRE? SAT? GMAT? To a lesser extent, the LSAT? MCAT?

Your fastball must have topped out in the low 80's and you didn't have a second pitch.
Otherwise, they would have overlooked it.

True on the scoring...still you can’t be a dumbass and pass the FE or PE. You have to be intelligent. Sure it’s scored differently and it is a pass/fail, but to say your not intelligent for passing them I can’t agree to.

Better fix that post before LNCHBOX catches it.
