Rough neighborhood. Now that's taking out a mailbox.

When I ship a package, its well enough secured that it can be tossed across a room with no concern of breakage at all
The problem is not everyone packages properly. As a career Postal employee, I will tell you the size of the packages in relation to actual content size has become ridiculous the past several years. Fragile contents are moving around way too much. I see customers mailing packages without wanting to spend $3 for bubble wrap and they’ll say “it should be ok.” I tell my carriers to treat the packages like they are fragile because they do not know what the contents are. Also, they get paid very well to do their job. If they place the package on the porch instead of throwing it, it is only adding approximately 8 minutes to their work day and they are getting paid for that 8 minutes.

would force them to pay for a structural report from an engineering firm just to ensure there are no issues. That is $2500 minimum.
For bumping into the garage door? Fix door yes, but a structural engineer?

It's probably at the discretion of the driver. Depending where they are on my street, I see all 3 in play. The houses on either end of the curve, they will always pull in the driveways (both are extra wide because neighbors have connecting driveways). If there is no one parked int he street, they make an effort to get as close to the curb as possible without touching grass. If a car is in front of the house, they will just park their shite in the middle of the street.
The problem we run into in my neighborhood is that there is a single entrance/exit (two one-way roads with a median) and the Amazon drivers will stop in the middle of the entrance road, at multiple houses in a row. The road is only one lane but it’s wide enough to get around them if they stop literally anywhere other than dead center. I saw one of them get into it with someone driving home from work one evening after they tooted the horn when the Amazon driver made like the 3rd consecutive stop in the middle of the road over a span of ~150 feet.
UPS, FedEx, and USPS are never a problem (despite the first two driving generally wider vehicles than the Amazon vans) but for some reason the Amazon drivers don’t seem to get it. I get the feeling they are under a pretty significant time crunch on these routes, based on numerous videos of drivers running to a door and throwing packages at the porch.

Most of the Amazon packages I receive that are in envelopes could be tossed without damage.

They just opened a new distribution center in Abbeville. I pulled up next to five vans at the red light next to the center the other day.
EVERY driver looked exactly like that.
EVERY driver looked exactly like that.

You can’t be serious. You don’t know the purpose of a silt fence? God almighty we have raised a generation of legit idiots.

It’s almost like she is the kind of person who has never been held accountable.
I wonder why?

I actually received a package yesterday from Amazon and you guessed it. She was driving an Altima! Haha

She might indeed know what a computer is, but bitch can't drive for shite.

A few rocks knocked off the facade? Lawsuit? That's small claims court. Amazon will settle that as fast as she got outta there...
FYI

"I was laying In the family room with my 3-month-old baby asleep on my chest when I hear a loud crash outside of my house, thinking nothing of it due to construction next door I let my baby sleep. A few days later when I left my house for work I saw my stone on the garage had fallen off the wall, I called my best friend and neighbor to have him go to my house and look at it and see if we could fix it because the house was new construction and the builder's warranty just expired. I couldn’t afford to put a claim in on my homeowner's insurance so my best friend went to the House to look at it, to my surprise there was a lot more damage then you could see from a quick pass by, then the entire wall was pushed off the foundation and the studs were broken in half...he sent me pictures and we were baffled on what could have caused it, in his investigation, he pulled up my security footage and a few days earlier the cameras showed a delivery made by Amazon where the driver drove on the grass, left the door open and in drive, ran in front of her moving car, threw my package at the front door and took a photo, and was running back to a car that was about to run into my house. After the van hit my house, she jumped in the driver's seat and made a 4-5 point turn to reposition to get out of our straight driveway almost hitting the trash can and hitting the silt fence of the construction site across the road. She never said anything to me before she zoomed off making it a felony hit and run... luckily for me the Amazon security system I had a ring, was the same system that told on them. I filed a police report and contacted Amazon, they sent me to their insurance and offered me a 75$ gift card to use on their site, I was pissed...and that was not sufficient, they said all they could do was another $300 which was much less then I thought it was worth, their insurance paid for the repairs."

The damage was $12,500 so more than small claims

Well she did literally throw the package at the porch.
I don’t get the melt about tossing a light package. That package went through way more hell in its journey to that porch.

Was today her first day ever driving?

Simple. She is a Biden voter. The intelligence level is not there

Shenequa was too lazy to put the van in park while she dropped off the package?
More likely distracted by whatever she was doing on her phone

I’m a little confused by this. It says Amazon’s insurance covered the repairs and Amazon offered a $300 gift card, but she said that was much less than she thought it was “worth”?

We have security cameras everywhere. But it’s a fairly small town and crime is virtually zero.
The only thing those cameras ever caught was Amazon Prime trying to turn around under the garage with a van that was clearly too large instead of making what would have probably been a 5-6 point turn for her.
