From talking with my wife, who lost about 75% of her dad's side of the family in the Holocaust, some had Jewish features and it was easy to tell. She did have one relative survive by posing as a Christian and the Nazis believed it.

I flew a trip a few years back and one of the flight attendants was the youngest daughter of Nazi war criminals who had been sent to live with relatives in the US before the war got out of hand for Germany, one of the co-pilots was Jewish, the tension and hatred between the two was thick in the air and very obvious before a word was spoken, and was constant for the entire trip, more so from the Nazi girl than the Jew
