Saw him in Birmingham in 2001. He said it would be his only appearance in the US that year. Said he was friends with someone in the Birminghan symphony. who asked him to perform. It might have been the conductor but I cannot remember.

It was really enjoyable.

Wife said she enjoyed it more than the Rolling Stones concert she had attended in her younger days.
